Performance Ready, in partnership with Genesis Aquatics and the University of Minnesota, hosts an annual Thanksgiving Charity Swim to bring our community together in support of the larger community. What began as a virtual event during COVID has grown into a pool-based tradition benefiting ICA Food Shelf.
On Sunday, November 24, this year’s Thanksgiving Charity Swim was our biggest and best yet! Together, we made a meaningful impact for the ICA Food Shelf while building community and having fun in the pool.
Highlights from the 2024 event:
90 swimmers participated, setting a new attendance record.
Swimmers completed 100 swims on 1:30 intervals, covering a total of approximately 364 miles—the distance across Minnesota!
Donations totaled $2,948.60 and 38 pounds of food for the ICA Food Shelf, our most successful year yet.
A huge thank-you to the U of M Jean K Freeman Aquatic Center, Genesis Aquatics, and all who made this event possible.
Thank you to everyone who participated, donated, or supported this event. We can’t wait to see you in 2025! Mark your calendars for next year! The tentative date for the 2025 Thanksgiving Charity Swim is Sunday, November 23.
