2025 Thanksgiving Swim

Join the Performance Ready and the Genesis Aquatics communities for the 2025 Thanksgiving Charity Swim
On Sunday, November 23 at the Jean K Freeman Aquatic Center at the University of Minnesota
we will gather to swim 100 swims (100s, 75s, 50s, or a combo) on 1:30
to support ICA Food Shelf.
12:30 pm check-in, 1:00 start, 3:30 done swimming, 4:00 social at Sally's 
Participants can use equipment, and can incorporate non-free, kicking, drills, etc.
We look forward to seeing you at the pool on the 23rd!​

2024 Thanksgiving Swim

On Sunday, November 24, this year’s Thanksgiving Charity Swim was our biggest and best yet! Together, we made a meaningful impact for the ICA Food Shelf while building community and having fun in the pool.​

Highlights from the 2024 event:

• 90 swimmers participated, setting a new attendance record.
• Swimmers completed 100 swims on 1:30 intervals, covering a total of approximately 364 miles—the distance across Minnesota!
• Donations totaled $2,948.60 and 38 pounds of food for the ICA Food Shelf, our most successful year yet.
• A huge thank-you to the U of M Jean K Freeman Aquatic Center, Genesis Aquatics, and all who made this event possible.​​

In 2023:

• Performance Ready partnered with Genesis Aquatics
• University of Minnesota Aquatics staff generously provided the use of the Jean K Freeman Aquatic Center
• 70+ people participated in the Thanksgiving Swim
• Over $1,800 and 160 lbs of food were donated to ICA Food Shelf

 

2022 Thanksgiving Swim

In 2022:

• Performance Ready partnered with Genesis Aquatics
• The Thanksgiving Swim had 55 participants
• Over $1,900 and 137 lbs of food was donated to ICA Food Shelf

 

2021 Thanksgiving Swim

In 2021:

• Performance Ready partnered with Genesis Aquatics
• The Thanksgiving Swim had over 60 participants
• $1800 and 97lbs of food was donated to Interfaith Outreach

 

2020 Thanksgiving Swim

In 2020:

• Performance Ready partnered with Minnetonka Masters
• The Thanksgiving Swim was moved to a Zoom Thanksgiving themed dryland workout
• Over $1500 was donated to Second Harvest Heartland
